1. Scope of the processing of personal data

The processing of personal data is limited to data that is required to operate a functional website and for the provision of content and services. The processing of personal data of our users is based on the purposes agreed or on a legal basis according to the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We only collect personal data that is necessary to implement and process our tasks and services or if you provide data voluntarily.

2. Your rights

You have the right to request information about any of your personal data we process. III. Description and scope of data processing

1. Provision of the website

a) Logging of e-mail traffic

To ensure adequate information and system security and to detect malware, we store log data on e-mail traffic. When you send an e-mail to one of our addresses, the following data is logged: E-mail and IP address of the recipient and the sender, number of recipients, subject, date and time of receipt by the server, file name of any attachments, size of the message, risk classification for spam and delivery status. In a first step, e-mails are checked purely automatically. Only in the case of suspicion of a threat to the security of the IT systems are individual e-mails checked manually by responsible persons.

In addition, we process your personal data in connection with e-mails, where necessary, for the duration of the entire business initiation and beyond that in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations.

The data mentioned above are saved for a maximum time period of 90 days.

The data processing is based on your consent according to Art 6 para 1 lit a and on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para 1 lit f GDPR.

b) Visitor data and usage data

Our system records data and information about the computer used by the user automatically and with every visit on our website.

The following data are collected:

  • Information regarding the type and version of internet browser used to access the website
  • Operating system
  • IP address
  • Date and time of each access
  • Web page from which the user was redirected to our page
  • Web pages and resources that were visited

The data mentioned above are saved for a maximum time period of 30 days. This storing is done due to security reasons to ensure the stability and integrity of our systems.

The legal basis is legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. For example, it is in our legitimate interest to improve our website usage.

c) Application documents

By submitting your application documents, you agree that personal data such as name, title, address, telephone number, date of birth, education, work experience, salary requirements and those data and images contained in the cover letter, resume, references or other documents sent may be processed by us for the purpose of keeping, merging and making available in an applicant database.

The data provided will be stored in our database for twelve months for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions.

The data processing is based on Art 6 para 1 lit a and lit b GDPR.

d) Newsletters

We may use your contact details to send you (by post or electronically) newsletters, event invitations and other mail promoting our services. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests or your consent (as appropriate to the communication in question). You can always unsubscribe from these mailings by contacting us at [email protected].

The legal basis is consent according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a of the GDPR and legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f of the GDPR. It is in our legitimate interest to inform you of changes relating to Q and our range of services.

e) Web analytics and conversion tracking

We use the analysis tool Google Analytics (https://analytics.google.com/) to evaluate the usage of our website.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service operated and provided by Google LLC. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States).

Google processes the website usage data on our behalf.

Since, Google listed in Appendix A of the Privacy Shield and Safe Harbor Enforcement, the data transfer to the USA is compliant with the GDPR due to an adequate level of protection of your personal data in the USA.

2. Cookies

Cookies are small files that are managed by the user’s web browser and are directly stored on the respective device (Laptop, Tablet, Smartphone etc.) whenever you visit our website.

In addition to Cookies, this website uses the “Google Tag Manager” service. IV. Data security

We use a common encryption technology “SHA256 with RSA” in connection with the highest encryption levels that are supported by your browser. If a page on our website was/is being transmitted encrypted it is shown by the lock symbol in the address bar of your browser.

V. Automated Decision Making

We do not use fully- or semi-automated decision making. Our processing activities always depend on human intervention.
