Q International Foundation is pleased to announce the Q Community Airdrop, allocating 100,000,000 QGOV tokens to eligible wallets. This marks a pivotal moment in the decentralization of the Q protocol, supporting its mission to expand crypto’s capabilities beyond the limitations of code-is-law. Season I of the Q Community Airdrop, which starts today, celebrates early supporters of Q and the pioneers of the decentralized governance movement.

The Q Community Airdrop: Three Seasons
The Q Community Airdrop takes us through a journey in time. During its three seasons, Q will reward the people who are relentlessly building towards a better future. In total, Q International Foundation is distributing 10% of the initial total QGOV token supply:
Season I: Pioneers
The Pioneers phase of the Q Community Airdrop takes us on a journey through the development of decentralized governance. This rewards the pioneers of the decentralized movement who have made significant contributions to the governance mechanisms that we are using today.
5.0% of the initial QGOV token supply has been allocated to Season I.
Season II: Frontier
The Frontier phase of the Q Community Airdrop focuses on the presence. This rewards the builders who are at the forefront of the decentralized movement today, creating novel ways to collaborate with the Q Protocol and beyond.
2.5% of the initial QGOV token supply has been allocated to Season II.
Season III: New Worlds
The New Worlds phase of the Q Community Airdrop takes us into the future. What will the world that we create look like one, five or ten years from now? This rewards the visionaries who strive to make the world a better place. Onwards!

Season I Begins NOW: Celebrating the Pioneers of the Decentralized Movement
Season I kicks off with substantial rewards for community members who have shown remarkable courage early in the history of crypto. These individuals have made bold choices that pushed the limits of the “code is law” paradigm.
70% of the Season I airdrop has been allocated to governance pioneers that have been active in various protocols and communities. This includes active governance participants in protocols that have pushed the limits and made significant contributions in the decentralized governance space as well as communities that have stood out in this area. It also includes accounts that have participated in the carbon vote after THE DAO hack in 2015 – an event which was a pivotal moment for the whole crypto space, challenging the code-is-law paradigm.
20% of the Season I airdrop has been allocated to early members of the Q community. These are accounts that have joined the community early and shown commitment to Q’s vision by being active participants and supporters.
10% of the Q airdrop has been allocated to victims of governance attacks and failures in other protocols. This is a recognition of the fact that not all is well in our industry, and while the focus is on rewarding the pioneers, we also want to “make things right” with a small contribution for those who have suffered from bad governance practices.

Start Your Pioneer Journey – Eligibility Check and Claiming
To get rewarded for being a governance pioneer, please visit airdrop claiming page
You can check your eligibility by clicking the “Connect Wallet” button. Alternatively, a list of eligible wallets is provided in a downloadable CSV file.
Claiming starts on Monday, July 22nd, 12 PM UTC and is open until Monday, September 16th, 12 PM UTC.
QGOV tokens up to 1,000 per eligible wallet are freely available. QGOV tokens exceeding 1,000 per eligible wallet will be deposited into a Q Vault and are subject to a 1-month time lock followed by a 3-month linear vesting period. While in the Q Vault, QGOV tokens can be used to participate in Q governance and can be delegated to validator nodes to get extra rewards.
If you do not meet the eligibility criteria for Season I of the Q Community Airdrop, you can still participate in the upcoming seasons and become active within the Q community. There will be opportunities for eligibility in Season II and III, which will have a stronger focus on activity on and interaction with the Q Protocol.
